About Me

My photo
Born in Venice Beach California, Danny O'Donnell was exposed to the "oddities" of society from a very early age. After coming to Sin City when i was 14 only to have affirmed the things i had learned walking the Venice boardwalk. I have traveled through many different scenes. Punk, Greaser, Metal head, Goth, Raver, & Indie. I can assign all of those to me and yet none at all. I find myself a wanderer between the tribes. Always looking and taking the little bits I see to make an over all me. All of this combined with being raised by my single Irish Catholic mother has created a unique individual, or so I've been told. I have deep rooted passions in theatre, live music, and film. Anything that has to do with people expressing their creative souls to the world. Contact me via email at whenvegasattacks@gmail.com

A Night Of Anonymity

Coming very soon, April 1st to be exact, is going to be a night well worthy of note. Its Slave of the Muse's 3rd Anonymity Ball. http://www.slaveofthemuse.com/ I would love to be able to get to cover this event for When Vegas Attacks!!! But unfortunately is too short of notice to be able to pull off. I have been to many of these folk's events and they never fail to give a night to be remembered. This event is a masquerade ball thats going to be held at the Clarion hotel here in Las Vegas. For a very reasonable cost of 25 bucks you will be transported into another world for a night of wonder. These folks put on dance and theme nights with a heavy stage and theatrical notion. Ball goers are encouraged to craft a new personality and immerse themselve in ephemral worlds created. A brief excursion into anticipation, dance, revelry and imagination. Masks are required for the event but costumes aren't. Honestly though, who doesn't like a good costume party?

And Action!

I guess I'll start this off with an introduction; My names Danny & I've lived in Las Vegas for about 6 years now. I've worked many random and diverse jobs that have lead me to meet a lot of cool. weird, strange, awesome, and exciting people and places in this amazing city. I've done my best to keep an open mind during these experiences that have taken me through different cultures, scenes, life styles, and mind sets.

After going through this for years I've come to the realization that there is so much stuff going on in this city alone that most people don't even know about, including locals. I want to change that, and I have been given the opportunity from Image West to be able to do just that. Image West is a premier source for Video and Digital Photo Equipment & Accessories, providing a wide variety of the most popular products designed with the Advanced Amateur and Professional Videographer or Photographer in mind. They have given me the gear and financial backing to do a show about this very subject. Which I've dubbed "When Vegas Attacks!"

The basic idea of the show is that me and my crew are going to go around this city showing you, the viewers, all the hidden jewels we can find. From local restaurants, venues, & hang out spots, to Performance Groups & Artists. Now as much as I've experienced this city myself i know i haven't seen it all. So in order to keep the show growing and diverse I will be taking suggestions from all of you. Know of an awesome place i should check out? Got a friend in a band that could use the exposure? Drop me a line and I'll do my best to make it happen.

Well thats it for now, thanks you all for joining me on this. I'll have my first episode up soon. Please spread the word both to other locals and even people who live out of Vegas. Make them jealous of your city.

This is your humble host, signing off.
